The
Rossignol Cultural Centre's Laing Art Gallery features art by local,
Nova Scotian and International artists from student art to the Canadian
group of seven, our shows are always changing in the two galleries.
The Rossignol Cultural Centre is fortunate to have most of the furnishings
of Canada's most famous art gallery, the Laing Gallery, 194 Bloor
St. in Toronto. The brass letters from the front of the gallery
are installed in the museum. Before his passing, G. Blair Laing
donated his personal collection of J.W. Morrice paintings to the
National Gallery of Canada. Known as "A Gift to the Nation",
is stands to this day as the most generous donation ever received
by the National Gallery of Canada. We are proud to keep his memory
alive with gallery artifacts.
