THE CULTURAL VILLAGE AT THE ROSSIGNOL CULTURAL CENTRE:

If you are looking for an adventure or unique cultural experience, make a donation and come and sleep in a museum exhibit! Choose from an authentic styled Mongolian Ger, a British Blockhouse, an early Settler's Log Cabin, an Inuit Igloo or a Plains Indians Teepee. All reflect the unique cultural heritage of that time and place. All sleepovers include free passes to the Rossignol Cultural Centre and the Sherman Hines Museum of Photography. Choose from the following :

LARGE MONGOLIAN GER: A rare opportunity for overnight, a weekend or even a week if you wish! This unique Mongolian Ger is a replica of the nomadic tent used for centuries and still in use today. Our ger has a difference: a king-sized bed, 3 piece ensuite bath and heat if you need it! Decorated in the traditional manner of the nomad herders experience a unique sleepover in this Ger for a donation of just $100.00 per night and includes free passes to the Rossignol Cultural Centre and Sherman Hine Museum of Photography.
SETTLER'S LOG CABIN: Also a museum display built with round logs and decorated with artifacts of the period, this 2 room log cabin awaits your arrival.This cabin has a beautiful bedroom furnished with carvings, antler furniture and a unique bed. Another overnight experience long to be remembered for just a donation of $50.00 per night which include free passes to the Rossignol Cultural Centre and the Sherman Hines Museum of Photography.

TEEPEES:Our two teepees are 22 feet in diameter but have very different characteristics.

Teepee # 1: This teepee is beautifully decorated in the traditional Plains Indian style with finely tanned hides and accoutrements of the culture. A queen sized bed will be your only nod to the 20th century. Shared 3 piece bath . Just a donation of $50.00 per night. Currently Unavailable

Teepee # 2: Experience a night under canvas as the natives did living and traversing this great country. A clean open space in the hostel tradition, suitable for up to 15 cyclists, campers, or hikers with ease. Bring your own sleeping mats and bags. Shared 3 piece bath available just a 1 minute walk down the path. Just a donation of $10.00 per person per night. Group rate, only $75.00 per night for a group of ten or more.

SMALL MONGOLIAN GER: This original nomadic ger from Mongolia is furnished in the traditional nomadic sheep herder style with 2 single beds. A shared 3 piece bath and shower is just a 1 minute walk down the path.A night you're sure to remember for just a doantion of $25.00 per person per night which includes free passes to the Rossignol Cultural Centre and Sherman Hines Museum of Photography.
  Guides Tent- Canvas guides tent with wood floor suitable for 6-8 campers. A shared 3 piece bathe is just a minute walk down the path. Just a donation of $10.00 per perspn per night.
